Duval County Public Schools
Through Duval Schools you can volunteer as a classroom
assistant, office assistant, guest speaker, special events
planner/helper, tutor, field trip chaperone or mentor. For

Community Based Organizations
Numerous community-based organizations are partnered with Duval
Schools to provide academic and/or social supports to students.
Each offers a unique volunteer experience! There are so many
programs to choose from:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast
Florida
Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs volunteers with students in need
of a mentor. Mentors meet their students at the school site or
another community site.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida run eight clubs
in Northeast Florida and run TEAM UP programs at five schools in
Duval County. To volunteer, contact the Unite Director
at your desired volunteer location.
Cathedral Arts Project
This organization provides underserved, school-age children with
access to instruction in visual and performing arts. Volunteers are
needed to help with dance, music and art classes on a regular
basis, as well as to provide special one-time experiences. Find out

Communities In Schools
Opportunities to volunteer through Communities in Schools
include: mentoring middle or high school students, reading
to/tutoring elementary school students during school, tutoring in
an after-school program, and providing support to after-school
enrichment and athletic programs. Learn

Junior Achievement Jacksonville
Junior Achievement volunteers teach economics and business
classes, one hour a week for 5-8 weeks in Duval County elementary,
middle and high schools. Find out

United Way of Northeast Florida
United Way provides mentors to middle school students in Duval
County middle schools through its Achievers for Life program.
United Way also runs eight Full Service School sites in Duval
County, through which you can volunteer as an Oversight Committee
member, Tutor, Program Leader, Mentor, Reading Pal, College Student
Intern, Classroom Helper, or Facility Helper. Find out more.
